The Somerset Hills Education Foundation (SHEF) was created in 1996 as a private, non profit, tax exempt 501 (c) (3) organization with the goal of generating resources to enhance the educational experiences of our students and to increase community involvement in our public schools.

Independent, not-for-profit and run solely by volunteers for over 10 years, SHEF today supports numerous mini-grants in math, science, technology, literature and the arts at Bedwell Elementary School, Bernardsville Middle School and Bernards High School.

Supporters include parents, citizens, and businesses who share the belief that an investment in strong public schools is essential to the quality of life and future well-being of a town that thrives socially, culturally and educationally.
